can anyone who has owned thes canvas strikes along with the original leather strike boots testify as to how they fit?

i wear a TTS US 9. for context, when i bought my pair of og strike boots, i tried a 41 (which corresponds to a US8) and they were too big. i opted for a 40 which fit perfectly that i still wear today.

i’ve had my eyes on the canvas ones for a long time but have heard mixed things about the fit… 90% of people selling ive seen say they fit only one size big (according to this i should go for a 41). but ive also heard mixed opinions.

someone who wears a tts US10 told me his size 40 canvas strikes aren’t necessarily too small, just not comfortable. and inversely someone who wears a US 9.5 told me that the 41’s were too small. so now i truly have no idea how they fit and not sure if the store by me still carries these to try them on.

can anyone who’s worn/owned both pairs chime in? especially if you had the same experience with the leather ones and sized down by 2.. i hate when there’s too much room in the toebox and the shoe looks awkwardly big. thanks !!
