Keeping Intimate Photos

So I just saw a post about keeping (non-nsfw) pictures from previous relationships, and I had to throw this one out there and get people’s thoughts.

I have an acquaintance from university who would keep spicy pictures from previous relationships/hookups— granted, with permission from the women who took the photos. She had a girlfriend senior year find out about this and get super upset, but she has absolutely no understanding of why they didn’t like that she kept them.

Is this a normal/common thing that people keep an ex’s nudes? I don’t think it’s ethically wrong, since she has the permission from her exes, but it’s still weird, right?
