[Lan Ke Qi Yuan] One of the best cultivation stories I have read
This manuha is one of the most unique gems that I have read. It delivers an extremely refreshing take on the cultivation genre as a whole with an extremely thought-provoking and entertaining MC. The story tells itself in a philosophical way that strikes a perfect balance—neither too complex nor overly simplistic and instead offers a very unique character building that can connect the narratives of the many characters in a logical and pleasant way.
This manhua is simply a breath of fresh air that calms the mind when reading it and is simply, just a good story to read and enjoy. It returns to the roots that classical Chinese Immortal stories have to offer and tells the cultivation journey of the MC in a way that also draws into the rich culture of Chinese mythology, Taoist philosophy, and traditional folklore. "Life is like a game of chess, once you make a move, there's no room for regret!".
The story also invokes a sense of proudness, lacking the cliches commonly seen in most stories and really stands out among rest with its pleasant art style as well.
There is actually readable, good official translation available now for it all the way up to chp 95 unlike previously. The translations after is quite readable too even though it is indeed lacking compared to the official, but that shouldn't affect the story overall. (I read this on comick which has 230 chapters as of now)
Anyhow, I implore others to give this a try as it doesn't seem to be widely known!
