No one wants to live in your DADU

Is anyone else extremely annoyed by DADU (detached additional dwelling units) listings on Zillow for $800k+? To me, all these builds are tiny, dispassionate, low quality, soulless investment opportunities for people partitioning their land trying to make the maximum dollar. You can’t sell a 500 square foot box that’s 5 inches away from your own home with a shared driveway and no yard for nearly a million dollars. Get real people!

Edit: yes some of them are great. The idea is great, they have potential to be great. I’m talking about specific ones I see that are JUST seen as a source of income and are sold or rented with the intention to squeeze every penny. It’s common among all new buildings not just DADU. People pay high prices in Seattle because there is a housing shortage in combination with extremely high income earners that help drive the prices up leaving lower income earners fighting for their life to pay rent and give up on ever owning a home.
