Robinhood - It's Not A Nice Investing App, But It Gives a Nice Bonus worth Between £5.60 and £140
Here is a different format for the new(ish) refer-a-friend offer from Robinhood.
TLDR: Sign up for a free share, refer your friends. But there are better investing platforms.
Robinhood Questions and Answers
Question: What is Robinhood?
Answer: A commission-free investing platform that allows you to invest in a wide variety of US stocks and exchange traded funds. They are famous for being the awful people behind the Gamestop saga. Not a good company.
Question: Do you use Robinhood?
Answer: Only for the bonus. The app is not as good as Trading212.
Question: Would you recommend Robinhood?
Answer: Only for the bonus.
Question: What is the bonus?
Answer: A free share worth between $7 and $175, when you open an account via a refer-a-friend link and deposit £1. You can choose from a variety of shares (Apple, nVidia, Google, Microsoft, Walmart, etc). Chances are, you will receive a share with approximately $7 (£6)
Question: How do I get a free share?
Answer: Follow these instructions:
Visit Robinhood via my refer a friend link: https://join.robinhood.com/calumw-4064ffa
Click the link above to sign up, verify your account and fund it with a minimum of £1 to claim your free stock.
Account approval took a few days for me.
Once your account is approved, you'll get a notification that your free share is ready. And an "Earn stock" button will appear in the app. Click it, choose which share you want (Google, Microsoft, Amazon, etc).
Question: How do earn more free shares?
Answer: Refer your friends via the link in the app. If you cannot find it, visit this page: https://robinhood.com/gb/en/support/articles/invite-friends-get-free-stock/
Question: I don't want a bonus, how do I sign up?
Answer: With a non-referral link, here: https://join.robinhood.com/
