  • Limited Control: The absence of auto-update settings restricts user flexibility. For example, users may prefer to receive updates during off-peak hours or after specific events (e.g., after a successful backup).

Proposed Solution:

Implementing "Auto Update Settings" would empower users with greater control over the update process:

  • Scheduled Updates: Allow users to schedule updates to occur at specific times or intervals (e.g., weekly, monthly, early morning hours).
  • Update Channels: Enable users to choose between different update channels (e.g., stable, beta, developer) based on their risk tolerance and preference for early access to new features.
  • Conditional Updates: Provide options for conditional updates, such as only updating when specific conditions are met (e.g., successful backup, low system load).
  • Notification Preferences: Allow users to customize notification preferences for updates, including email, in-app notifications, or push notifications.
