SAVE plan

As an m4, if we register for the save plan this year is there a way that our interest rates will be negated this year if we’re making $0 😭 or can we only register for this in residency??

Crying screaming and throwing up looking at how much interest has accrued already in 3 months

UPDATE- so I spoke to some finance reps and apparently we cannot start repayment or SAVE while in school so we have to wait until residency for it to kick in. Unfortunately that means we’ll accrue interest this year and cannot forego it.
