New ERA for Tyler...

Didn’t really know where else to put this because I don’t think my friends quite understand this like you all will. I’ll be honest, I do miss the sad stuff. My favorite songs are some of the sadest ones but I relate with them. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t upset there weren’t more “sad” songs on this record. Which I acknowledge is an incredibly selfish thing for me to say.

On the other hand I can certainly respect the fact Tyler is no longer in that place he spent many years and is in a much better one despite everything going on the last 15 months. I’m learning to appreciate his evolution as an artist and think this record speaks to his talent and ability to diversify TOP’s sound. It has a lot of funk, pop, so much more upbeat and just happy. Everything I listen to bounce man I just want to get up and dance!!

Edit 1: I’ve been wrong before and I’ll be wrong again(or now)... this was just my sense a much happier upbeat tune we really hadn’t seen. I appreciate the dialogue - I can see why some say this is just a “happy mask”
